Working with Windows 2000 CREATING FILES AND FOLDERS DOUBLE click on “My Computer” icon DOUBLE click on “Hard Drive” icon Select (from menu) FILE > NEW > FOLDER – folder icon will appear with highlighted wording “new folder” Type in new name for your folder while highlighted DOUBLE click to access your new folder

6. Working with Windows 2000 THE DESKTOP: To rearrange icons (and have them stay put): RIGHT click on a blank space on the desktop Select “Arrange Icons If “Auto Arrange” has a checkmark next to it, select and LEFT click to turn off that function

8. Working with Windows 2000 COPY A FLOPPY Place the floppy disk into the computer’s disk drive DOUBLE click on the “My Computer” icon RIGHT click on “3 ½ Floppy [A:]” When prompted, insert a new disk. Press OK.
