3 Content Language Objective Students will read, write, and speak in evaluating the effectiveness of an analytical paper, looking for claim, evidence, counterclaim, and organization, using: Guiding focus points Peer Collaboration

4 Editing/Revising Highlight and annotate (comment) on all of the following: Claim (or claims) made Support/evidence for claim(s) Explanation of evidence and how it ties into/proves claim Counterclaim (addresses an opposing view and refutes it) Use highlighters or other coding system and evaluate each of these above components
