3. Harland Sanders aka Colonel Sanders Harland Sanders, better known as Colonel Sanders tried to sell his secret recipe 1,009 times to restaurants before getting a buyer. And you know the rest of this story. There are KFC's everywhere.

4. Thomas Edison Thomas Edison was fired from his first two jobs. His teachers in school told him that he was too stupid to learn anything. Edison attempted over 1,000 times to try to invent the light bulb, but on the 1001th time you know what happened. And above you is his invention.
