3 Whats important Simple sign off process communicated at the beginning of the process Map resources against high level outcomes Encourage innovation and flexible use of budgets Detail of plan is not shared by default but can be in a way that is proportionate to risk Proportionate approach to monitoring Vigilance to prevent process creep

4 Whats required for DPs For Direct Payments, a detailed support or care plan (a plan) is not a pre-requisite to the giving of a DP Information required can be drawn into one single DP agreementrvices

5 Whats required for managed budgets support planning is focused on enabling and empowering people to learn form experience about what works best for them and how to adapt and use resources over time in order to get the maximum benefits to ensure that the information which is drawn across into the sign off process remains proportionate and appropriate
