2 Location *Japan is located in East Asia. *Japan’s capital is Tokyo. Some of the other major cities are Yokohama, Kobe and Akita. *Japan does not share any borders with other countires because it is an island. *The latitude and longitude of Japan is 35 degrees north And 139 degrees east.

3 Topography *The highest mountain point is Mount Fuji. *The two major rivers are Shinano river and tone river *Japan is surrounded by the pacific ocean and sea of japan

4 Government *The person who leads the country is Emperor Akihito *The people usually vote but they have to be seen by Emperor Akihito. *The person who makes the law is House of councillars And House of Repersentatives *The different political parties are democratic party, Japan’s community party and the liberty democratic party *In Japan there are 47 prefectures

5 Economy *The major exports are transportation equipment And motor vehicles *The major imports are fuels,foods and chemicals. *They make money by selling food on the street. *There local money is called yen and they are equal To American money.

6 People and culture *The different religions are Shinto and Buddhist *The main Language is Japanese *They eat Sushi,sticky rice. *There national holiday is Emperor Akihito’s birthday. *They eat sticky rice and Sushi *There ethnic groups are Japanese,Korean and chinese.
