Lesson outline Task 1Task 2Task 3 Check for learning Complete progression task Enhance understanding

Anatomy and Physiology  In threes perform a bicep curl and then note:  The bones that are moving  The main muscles that are working  The name of the movement taking place.  A:  Radial ulna. You could say Humerus  Bicep Brachia = agonist Tricep = antagonist  Flexion at the elbow joint.

Anatomy and Physiology  In threes analyse the movement at the knee:  The bones that are moving  The main muscles that are working  The name of the movement taking place.  A:  Tibia and Fibula/ Femur (however this is the hip) Quads draw the leg forward. (remember muscles can only pull)  Extension at the knee.

Anatomy and Physiology  In threes perform a press up and then note:  The bones that are moving  The main muscles that are working  The name of the movement taking place.  A: Shoulder  Humerus  Pectoralis  Horizontal flexion  A: Elbow  Radial Ulna  Triceps / Bicep  Extension (in the upward phase)

Research  Complete a skill in your own sport and then state then analyse the movement that’s taking place.  Their left knee:  flexion  Tibia/Fibula/ Femur (again this is the hip)  Their left elbow:  Flexion  Bicep brachia  Radial Ulna Humerus (linked to shoulder)  Hip left:  Flexion  Hip flexors  Femur/ Ilium Ischium (hip)  Their right shoulder :  Horizontal flexion  Pectorals  Humurus  Shoulder girdle

Summer Work  Complete all summer work prior to returning to college.  This will ensure an effective start to the course.  Do not leave this to the last minute.

 Two parts:  Part one: Bones Muscles movements.  Part 2: Biomechanics.  Use ashpe.weebly.com to access all resources
