10. 8-6 Vocab.  Vector – a quantity that has both length and direction.  Component form – lists the horizontal and vertical change from the initial point to the terminal point of a vector.  Magnitude – the length of a vector  Direction – the angle that the vector makes with a horizontal line.  Equal vectors – vectors that have the same magnitude and the same direction.  Parallel vectors – two vectors that have the same direction or of they have opposite directions.  Resultant vector – the vector that represents the sum of two given vectors.
