2 Corinthians 10:3-5 “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

The Lord’s Army Christian Soldiers Soldiers of the Cross

BASIC TRAINING 1.Understand the enemy 2.Learn his objectives tactics and motives 3.Learn his strengths and weaknesses

The Enemy The devil – Satan A dangerous Opponent “Satan Can’t Handle The Truth”

Recognize The Enemy John 8:44 “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies”.

Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

What is TRUTH?

Ephesians 2:1-3 “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.”

Truth Offends Satan Heavenly Father, we come before You today to ask Your forgiveness and seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ’Woe to those who call evil good,’ but we that’s exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values. We confess that: We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it moral pluralism; We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism; We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle; We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery; We have neglected the needy and called it self-preservation; We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare; We have killed our unborn and called it choice; We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building esteem;

Truth Offends Satan We have abused power and called it political savvy; We have coveted our neighbors’ possessions and called it ambition; We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression; We have ridiculed the time honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, O God, and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of Kansas, and who have been ordained by You, to govern this great state. Grant them Your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of Your will. I ask it in the name of Your Son, the living Savior, Jesus Christ, Amen."

1 st Why does Satan have a problem with the Truth? Absolute Truth Vs. Existentialism

Isaiah 14:13 “You have said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.” - Satan

John 8:42 & 44 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire.

2 nd – Whether we accept God’s truth or reject it – that choice will influence how we live Proverbs 23:7 – “as (a man) thinks in his heart, so is he…”

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

John 16:13, 18 “But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth…” “When He comes, He will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment”

THE TRUTH IS: 1.We are all guilty of sin 2.We all need righteousness 3.We will all be judged

Acts 2:38 “Repent and be baptized everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Holy Spirit.”

Satan Can’t Handle This TRUTH… Those who belong to Christ, have God’s Truth within us, and He is changing us so that we are acceptable to God..

Can You Handle The TRUTH? Do you have God’s Truth in you? Are you being changed? Do you belong to Christ? Are you acceptable to God?
