4 Renal Tumors Wilm‘s Tumor : - common solid renal tumor of childhood. -Age : 3 yrs. -sex : 1:1. -5% bilateral. -Familial and non Familial -associated with congenital genitourinary abnormalities.

5 Renal Tumors Clinical presentation : Symptoms&Signs -Asymptomatic mass discovered by family member or physician during routine physical examination. -Abdominal pain,distention,anorexia,nausea, vomiting,fever,hematuria,hypertension.

Cell of origin:Proximal convoluted tubules. Etiology: -Cigarette smoking. (well documented) -shoes worker.,leather tanners,cadmium. -Hereditary,sporadic. -Acquired cystic disease in renal failure patients.

12 Adenocarcinoma of the kidney Pathology: -Grossly:yellow to orange. -Histologically,RCC mixed adenocarcinoma contain clear cells,granular cells,and sarcomatoid appearing cells. Metastasis: Direct invasion into renal vein,perinephric fat, and adjacent viscera. Distant Metastasis to lung, liver,bone,LNS.
