Where to find HELP! My section is about where to go when you need to talk with someone other than your parents. This is to ensure that you have someone to talk to when your not comfortable talking with your parents.
3
Finding Help The main thing is to find help for any problem you feel you may have. Remember that you always have someone to talk to no matter how you feel about it.
4
Talk! Talk to a trusted adult this will help you clarify the problem give you moral support, and suggest a resource. Use a phonebook, look in the “self-help”, “Crisis”, “Health”, “Mental –Health”, Or “Psychiatrists” Sections. Call to find out services, ask questions about what is offered. Select resource, make an appointment and decide if you’d like to continue or change. One example is someone who is looking for a Psychiatrists. It gives them an example of where to look and what to do in order to find someone to talk to.

Story of a girl Lexi had a perfect life she was an only child with the world at her fingertips. Her parents were happily married for eighteen years and counting. One day when Lexi got home from school her parents sat her down to tell her they were getting a divorce. Lexi felt her whole world fall apart with those simple words. She didn’t know what to do or who to talk to, she didn’t want to burden her parents with how she felt since she knew they were under a lot of stress. Finally she couldn’t take it anymore and went to go talk with the schools guidance counselor who gave her advice, moral support, and just listened when Lexi talked to her.

Remember I feel that this a good thing for people to know. I think people need to remember that they’re not alone even when they feel like their world has fallen apart.
