11 10 MAY 03 11 Governance POCs: DART: Dr. Eric Rasmussen; Cell: (965) 986-1740; ericrasmussen@carebridge.org United Nations elements POCs: NGO Community Leads: Water  Water treatment plant near airport now running  Still dependent on sporadic power, however Medical  Primary concern is unpredictable power outages  Generators in use for brownouts  Secondary worry is fuel shortages  Security situation improving  Garbage collection continues Information as of 10 May 2003 UXO Clearance  Humanitarian assistance UXO removal operations will begin in Baghdad in near future. Finances  Over 9,000 Iraqi civil servants at 12 locations in Baghdad received emergency payments Friday. Personnel at 2 remaining locations were paid Saturday.

12 10 MAY 03 12 NGO Community Leads: United Nations elements POCs: Governance POCs: DART: Dr. Eric Rasmussen; Cell: (965) 986-1740; ericrasmussen@carebridge.org Al Qaim  Primary water station has two bad pumps  50% non-potable water  Hospital is operational but requires supplies and clean water Hadithah  Power lines still under repair Information as of 10 May 2003 Al Tash Refugee Settlement  Assessment indicates no security problems, but erratic electricity, poor quality water, no health care (clinic has been looted)

17 10 MAY 03 17 ORHA Humanitarian Assistance DART Team visited Al-Tash Refugee Camp –Over 12000 Iranian refugees –7000 want to return to Iran –No humanitarian crisis at this refugee camp FEST scheduled to visit Al Hillah water plant and sewer facilities for engineering assessment UXO clearance will begin soon in part of urban Baghdad – exact date unknown
