4 adults with learning, intellectual & physical disabilities are : Daughters & Sons Sisters & Brothers Girlfriends & Boyfriends Professionals & those unable to deliver formal work Wives & Husbands Mothers & Fathers Lovable Friends, but not always – they have their own personality dimensions Not children – they have their own choices, rights & preferences Deserved of receiving & delivering compassion, purpose & value through life

5 Who is Creative Day Care Suitable for? Adults with learning, intellectual & physical disabilities Adults who can care for their own hygiene needs or have a PA for hygiene Often no PA is needed – PA’s are welcome with members who need further support Adults who Need Deeper Social Engagement Adults who need some sense of direction during the day, but not in formal training environments

Members are free through the day: never isolated but engaged with each other, the staff and regular folk who use our facilities Sharp safeguarding and welfare practices – always a safe environment Staffed by those who are not paid to care – we just do Many Creative projects that members can move between as they choose – during each day A choice to take Interest in the Projects that most suit each member – and high-amounts of tailoring when possible to best fit member needs & interests

10 Who pays for Creative Day Care? Social Services through a direct payment or personal/health budget system Through social worker referral to allocate days and funds under the above schemes – plus no waiting lists: we’ll pay for members until they are funded Through private arrangement Many more adults can access this than realise - no one is ever worse off; often better! Our welfare team can lead the process and keep you informed – we meet with and do a fact-find with all prospective members
