Implementation continued… First phase-break down and remove old computers, order and set up new computers and software; start staff training in word processing Second phase-students taught word processing while staff trained in spreadsheets Third phase-students taught spreadsheets while staff trained in image manipulation Fourth phase-students taught image manipulation; full integration of new computers and software into curriculum

7. Communication Plan Info is distributed to the community through newsletters, website, and monthly executive committee meetings; staff and executive director communicate through e- mails and weekly meetings

Communication continued… in-house evaluation team consists of the executive director, program manager, executive committee members, counselors/staff, program participants, participant’s parents, and public school teachers. Evaluation team will communicate results with stakeholders after each phase data will be collected on how well the goals of the plan have been met and examples of the stated goals will be provided to the stakeholders to prove that the plan is being followed in the order that it should be Examples will include word documents, data spreadsheets, manipulated images, and observations from the person doing the training

Staff Development Plan Results of Director and Staff Member Survey: Goal: Mission integration: Responsible, Self-confident, Successful Who: Executive Director, Program Manager, Counselors/Staff What: Capable of mechanically turning on a computer Opening Word processing documents Printing documents Properly closing a computer program Less than half had knowledge of Open Source How: All indicated an eagerness to learn and integrate new software for personal development teaching methods to fulfill mission statement
