10 Texture Adds variety and VISUAL interest to designs
Affects overall size of an object and room Influences the way people feel in a room. Plush carpet and furniture with soft fabric = comfort Nubby rough = ruggedness and stability Smooth velvets and heavy brocades = luxury Glass, metal, and stone = coolness Appearance is affected by the light’s reflection Green wicker chair vs. green metal chair

11 HEAVILY TEXTURED WALLS WILL Make A ROOM APPEAR SMALLER.
WALLS WITH LITTLE OR NO TEXTURE WILL MAKE A ROOM APPEAR LARGER. MUTED TEXTURES HAVE A DULL COLOR.
