4 Learner voice / learner leadership Learners asked what they thought of their learning support Deaf learners as trainers – organised and ran a national conference Learners on a panel at the two national conferences for the learning support projects Creative Listening – PMLD learners Giving learners a voice with assistive technology Learners making video for staff training around safeguarding “Learners are included in decision making about their support, rather than being told about it.”

5 Heart of Deafness Social Enterprise An innovative enterprise that challenges social and economic barriers faced by Deaf people through supporting Deaf people to access training, apprenticeships and employment and through the provision of Deaf Awareness Training and Equal Access advice and guidance to education providers, employers and policy makers.
