Pupils will be able to: Study the Rosetta spacecraft landing on a comet and track its landing and look at how different comets are to planets. Recognise and describe the Sun, Earth and Moon as approximately spherical bodies Describe the movement of the Earth, and other planets, relative to the Sun in the solar system. Use the idea of the Earth’s rotation to explain day and night and the apparent movement of the Sun across the sky. Use the idea of the Earth’s rotation to explain day and night and the apparent movement of the Sun across the sky. Global Citizens Pupils will learn that citizens are joined around the world. We need to understand that alongside global citizenship comes global responsibility.
