2 REMINDERS  Study after each class period because there will be short-answer quiz for A- day on Friday and take home for B-day.  Midterm Exams are next week. Please download study guide and review the important parts. REMINDERS  If you have not paid your lab fee, please do so ASAP.  If you have donated toys or cans, please remind me so I can give you extra credit.  All pending assignments will be graded this week. Next week grade updates will be given out.

4 Essential Vocabulary Terms for this Unit Plan:  Solar System: moon, moon phase, planet, solar system, axis, orbit, AU, eclipse  Stars & Galaxies: constellation, absolute magnitude, apparent magnitude, light-year, spectra, nebula giant, dwarf, supergiant, neutron star, black hole, universe, and Big Bang Theory

5  Can be seen from Earth is not in its new phase  Natural satellite for Earth because it orbits our planet  384,403 km away from Earth with a diameter of 3,476 km  1 full orbit = 29.5 days  Phases are different because it changes the amount of light reflected off the moon
