14 IMAP (Advantages and Disadvantages) Advantages - can store message - Can access/manage multiple mail boxes. - New/old mail can be accessed from any pc. - Client independent. - (switch mail to client PC without affecting user mail Disadvantages - fewer client than POP3 - slower than POP3 - less IMAP Software than POP3 - require more effect
