The Big Ask Sandwich Safeguarded between two parables of Jesus: 1. Our persistent prayers “Shameless audacity” (NIV) “Shameless persistence” (NLT) e.g. Persistent widow/unjust judge (Luke 18), Jesus said, “pray and never give up”. 2.God’s goodness Father God knows how to give good gifts.

(John 15:7) Ask in God’s will If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us…. And we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15) Ask with faith But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:6) Ask with pure motives When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. (James 4:3)
