1.  If you lost the use of your arms for a day this would impact greatly on your life and the life of others.  There are many things that other people would have to do for you for example drive you to school and other activities. They would have to also do things such as carry your school bag etc. MODIFYING A CLASSROOM AND/OR HOME ENVIRONMENT SHOULD YOU LOOSE THE USE OF YOUR ARMS FOR A DAY

2. LOSS OF ARMS FOR A DAY  You would not be able to do things like:  Brushing your teeth and wash your face.  Brushing your hair.  Getting dressed.  Eating daily meals on your own.  Showering/bathing.  Opening doors and cupboards.  Pulling out chairs at school.  Doing your school work/homework.  Covering yourself in bed.  Wiping yourself when you use the bathroom. People, such as your family and your teachers would have to help you to do a lot of these kinds of things

3. In order to be self-sufficient you would have to:  Install voice controlled computers in your classroom.  Install voice controlled cupboards, shelves & doors.  Voice controlled whiteboard or smartboard.  Voice controlled chair so that you could have your chair pulled out and pushed in so that you could sit at your desk.  Have easy access to the school.

5. PROSTHESIS  If you lost the use of your arms for more than one day you would be to complete most of these tasks above because you would have a prosthesis fitted.  A prosthesis is an artificial limb. It would replace your arms and work in almost the same way that your arms would if you still had them
