6 Open to pupils with help of their language/home economics/primary teachers Create, photograph and review an item on an afternoon tea menu in the language being learned Prize! Trip to Cloughjordan House Cookery School for the whole class to experience language, culture and cookery with a Spanish theme Closing date was 24 October 2014 Being judged at present EDL 2014: Afternoon Tea Competition

7 Aim: Encourage excellence and innovation in language teaching and help Europeans learn languages more efficiently Created by the Council of Europe and based in Graz, Austria Offers a series of thematic workshops open to relevant professionals Also offers six-month traineeships for graduates European Centre for Modern Languages

9 Aim: Recognise innovative, effective and reliable language projects Award for individuals also offered on occasions 2015 priorities: Languages for Social Inclusion, Languages and Sport European Language Label

11 Aim: Support pre-, primary and secondary schools across Europe to work together on projects in any curricular area using Information and Communication Technology Professional development opportunities for teachers to connect; exchange ideas and good practice examples; participate in training and workshops Projects require at least two schools from two participating countries (one-country projects currently being piloted) Easy to administer - no special application involved eTwinning

19 Aim: Support the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practices Collaborative opportunity to help schools work with schools and other organisations to improve education 12- to 36-month project duration Minimum three partners, named at application stage Funding for management, meetings, outputs, multiplier events Next deadline 31 March Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Strategic Partnerships
