2 United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Plant Protection and Quarantine CALIFORNIA ORANGE EXPORT PROGRAM TO Australia 2009-2010 Quarantine for Asian Citrus Psyllid (ACP) –Map Information on current quarantine boundaries on the CDFA web site. (cdfa.ca.gov) –Biosecurity Australian requires Additional Declaration on phytosanitary certificates for citrus to Australia. (no treatment option is yet approved) “The fruit in the consignment is sourced from a place of production which is free of Diaphorina citri"

3 United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Plant Protection and Quarantine CALIFORNIA ORANGE EXPORT PROGRAM TO Australia 2009-2010 Biosecurity Australia is concerned with recent expansion of (ACP) in Los Angeles and Orange Counties is close to commercial citrus areas Current regulatory measures in California implemented by CDFA require packinghouses in the ACP quarantine area must be under Compliance Agreements and any packing house located outside the quarantine but receiving citrus fruit from inside the quarantine must also be under Compliance Agreement.

4 United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Plant Protection and Quarantine CALIFORNIA ORANGE EXPORT PROGRAM TO Australia 2009-2010 Origin of fruit exported to Australia must be from an ACP pest free area. No treatment is currently approved. Packing houses exporting fruit to Australia must have records showing the origin of the citrus lots presented for export inspection/certification. Regulatory inspectors at phyto certification will need documentation to verify origin of fruit to certify the shipment.

Information on the Grower Lot Locations is currently listed in the Grower Pesticide Use Permit Sample of the standard Grower Lot List will be available on the CCQC web site

7 United States Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service Plant Protection and Quarantine CALIFORNIA ORANGE EXPORT PROGRAM TO New Zealand 2009-2010 Currently our Trade Partner Biosecurity New Zealand has not notified APHIS of any restrictions regarding the Asian Citrus Psyllid. For current information on citrus exports to New Zealand check with you County Agricultural Commissioner, or USDA, APHIS we will keep you advised if changes are received from Biosecurity New Zealand.
