6 Questions & Answers Can the exception box be used to not receive "approval" instead inform the other members of the changes? –Yes. That is the way the exceptions box was designed. However, all exceptions must be decided by the entire ISP team and agreed upon by the entire ISP team. One provider cannot impose only their own expectations for how approval will be obtained. 17 Specific changes related to Employment/ATE Services There is a new required Action Plan for People Receiving Employment/ATE Services which must be included in the ISP for every person in DD 54 service element. The ISP Service Supports page has an updated list of types of Employment/ATE services. The ISP Meeting Agenda now prompts the ISP team to consider the person’s Path to Employment. The ISP Meeting Agenda prompts the ISP team to reflect on at least one specific accomplishment within the last year at Employment/ATE (as well as Residential services.) Weekly schedule written on the ISP should be the “optimal” weekly schedule as defined in the manual. 17
