3 DEHYDRATION  Occurs from failure to replace body’s lost fluids  Leads to decrease in mental sharpness, muscle power and endurance

4 PREVENT DEHYDRATION  Replace lost fluids, specifically electrolytes  Drink more water when exercising, or when the weather is hot

5 HEAT STROKE  Dehydration  Heat and Humidity  Fitness  Overexertion

6 PREVENT HEAT STROKE  Stay hydrated  Refrain from extensive work  Respect your body  First, cool down  Second, seek medical attention

7 SKIN CANCER  Basal Cell Carcinoma  Squamous Cell Carcinoma  Melanoma

8 PREVENTION  Use a sunscreen SPF 15 or higher  Protect exposed body parts with clothing  Avoid tanning beds  Avoid sun lamps  Seek shaded areas
