3. General Information And Childhood Tara Kristen Lipinski was born on, June 10 th, 1982 and is still living today at age 25. Tara was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tara had no siblings so she always got one on one attention with her parents. When Tara was 2 she saw figure skaters getting prizes and wanted one also. At age 6 Tara was signed up for skating lessons and loved them.

4. Accomplishments Tara made many T.V. appearances. For example Sabrina the Teenaged Witch, Veronica's Closet, Early Addition, 7 th Heaven and Still Standing. She has also been on every major talk show. In 1998, Tara made it to the Olympics. She then became the youngest women to win the gold medal. Tara was voted Best Female Athlete Of The Year Award for 1990 to 2000.

5. Challenges Tara was very small because she was so young, which made it hard to get credit for appearance. Her solution was to dress elegantly and wear makeup. Also, her Aunt, Aunt Mary, was in the hospital when she was in the Olympics. She stayed positive. Lastly, after skating for a long time, Tara suffered from many hip injuries. She had a surgery.

6. Time Line She was accepted in the Novice Regional. (pro) 19941996 Tara made it to the World Championship 1997 Tara was one of the top 2 skaters in the world 1998 Tara became the youngest women to ever win a gold medal in the Olympics
