It is a 2400 hectares area which is situated along the last 15 Km of the Isonzo’ s course

Why is it so important? The northermost wet area of the Mediterranean Sea It’ s the result of lots of transformations in the centuries SIC and ZPS Hight value of biodiversity (313 species of birds out of the 550 in Europe)

The important role of Camargue breed They usually live on wetlands And they help to conserve the environment as far as vegetation is concerned
