3. ORION Orion is called “The Hunter”, which is from Greek mythology It is one of the biggest and most recognizable constellations in the night sky. It can be seen throughout the world. Rigel is sometimes called Beta Orionis even though it is brighter than Betelgeuse. 4.  Rigel is in it’s supergiant stage, but will soon come out of it.  Next it will either collapse and turn into a supernova, or shed it’s outer layers and turn into a white dwarf.
