2. My name is Emma Louise. My parents chose Emma because they liked it and thought it was different. They chose Louise because it was my Great- Grandmother’s middle name. Her name was Mary Louise Wilson.

3. St. Louise was born in Paris in about. 1581 At a boarding house she learned to make herbal medicine. Louise married Antoine le Grass but he was very sick. Suffering was never far from Louise. Her 2 uncles that were close to the government were imprisoned. One was publicly killed.

4. When her husband was ill Louise had a vision of herself helping the poor. On November 29, she started teaching young women to help the poor. St. Louise died on March 15, 1660 just a few months before St. Vincent in Paris She was canonized in 1934 by Pope John XXIII. St. Louise is the patron saint of social workers. Her feast day is March 15.

5. St. Louise is a good role model for me because she helped others. She was a housekeeper so I can try to clean my room more often. She started the Daughters of Charity so I can try to donate more to charity. St. Louise kept on going when times were tough. I can try to keep going when I feel like giving up. God guided her life. I can try to listen to God. She was very holy so I can try to pray more.

6. My unofficial saint is my godmother, Sarah Webber. She is my mom’s best friend. She is giving because she gives me toys. She is kind because she helps me. Sarah is holy because she comes from a religious family. She is calm because she almost never yells. Sarah is friendly because she is a good friend. I love my godmother!
