The Journey of Learning Where is an area I want to grow in? Take a step or two in the direction of learning on that item Apply what you have learned If it works then repeat the process Being a better husband Memorize, study, meditate and apply one or two verses in the bible on being a husband, i.e. Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, I will study my wife and look for areas in which to serve her..I will listen to hear what she says and what she request.

5 Questions on Being Teachable Am I a life learner—growing and dying daily? Do I realize I am continually leaving one phase of my life and entering another? Do I read, study, meditate on the bible in such a way that I see a need for change? Would others, i.e. wife and kids define me as teachable? Am I a listener to them? Am I wiser now than I was last year? Am I a more skilled learner this year than last? When someone gives me advice do I spend more time justifying myself or do I discern the value their advice for me?
16
Remember If you are not a student-learner now you will be terrible when you get older. Being teachable is a building block that you add on to with work year after year. The greatest study for developing your critical thinking is the bible.
