3 Logging Into blueView Start at www.drake.edu, and select information for Current Students at the top of the homepage.www.drake.edu

4 Logging Into blueView From the Current Students page select the blueView link.

5 Logging Into blueView Enter “user name” (nine digit Drake ID number), and your password (default password is birth date in mmddyy format). If you need to have your password rest for access, please contact the supportcenter@drake.edu with your request. supportcenter@drake.edu

6 How to Access MYDUSIS Locate and click on “MyDusis” channel within “Home” tab to open a new window.

7 How to Find a Hold From the Main Menu Select “Student Services and Financial Aid”

8 Select “Student Records”

9 In the new window, click on “View Holds”.

10 How to Register for Classes 1)To view the schedule of classes, click on “Student Services and Financial Aid” 2)Then select “Registration” from the next window. 3)In the new window, click on “Look-up Classes to Add”. Main Menu PERSONAL INFORMATION PERSONAL INFORMATION View/Update Emergency Contact Information View/Update Addresses and Phones View Drake EMail Address STUDENT SERVICES & FINANCIAL AID Display your class schedule; View your holds; Display your grades and transcripts; View MyBilling (student account), 1098T Tax Info and Dorm Damage; Registration Students are required to validate their enrollment by attending the first class meeting of each course on their schedule. Failure to attend the first class or to make prior arrangements with the professor will result in the student being dropped from that course. Display your class schedule; View information related to registration. Check Your Registration Status View information related to your ability to register for courses. Look-up Classes to Add Register or Add/Drop Classes

11 How to Register for Classes Select “Spring 2014” from the drop down menu and click “Submit.”

12 How to Register for Classes 2) Select search criteria and click “Class Search.” a) “Subject” to select the courses of interest (ACCT, FIN, MPA, PADM, etc.). b) Click on “Class Search”.

13 How to Register for Classes Example Search: “Subject” = Politics (to register - click box in left “Select” column)

14 Error Messages **ERROR** If there is an error in your registration for classes it will appear as below. There will be a red circle with a black X and a description of error.

15 Error Messages Common Errors DUPLICATE Course – you are already registered in the course for the semester. PRE-REQ or TEST SCORE Error – you do not have the prerequisites to take the course. CLASS Error – class is restricted to students at a certain level (i.e. undergraduate only). MAJOR Restriction – class is limited to certain majors. TIME Conflict – you have enrolled in two or more classes meeting at the same time or the class times overlap.

16 How to Wait List a Course Waitlist Information If you enter a CRN for a class and there is a waitlist it will appear as below:

17 How to Wait List a Course Either select “none” (you will not be put on the wait list) or “wait listed” (you will be put on a wait list). Then click “Submit.” WAITLIST DISCLAIMER: The wait list option does NOT enroll you into the course when an opening becomes available. The Graduate Programs office will monitor the list and contact students if space is available. The professor will not enroll you in a wait listed course.

18 How to Register Using CRNs CRN= Course Registration Number (4 digits) Click to open “Student Services & Financial Aid,” then click to open “Registration,” and then click on “Register or Add/Drop Classes.”

19 How to Register Using CRNs Enter course CRNs in blanks at the bottom and click “Submit Changes.”

20 Verify Your Enrollment Once you have registered for courses, you will want to verify your registration by selecting the “Student Detail Schedule” under the “Registration” block.

21 Add/Drop Policy Prior to start of term students can change their schedule electronically through MyDUSIS on blueView or by contacting the Graduate Programs office. Once the term begins, students must gain the professor’s permission to add or drop a course. Contact the Graduate Programs office for more information.

22 Enrollment Validation Students are required to validate their enrollment by attending the first class meeting for each course on their schedule. Failure to attend the first class or to make prior arrangements with the professor may result in student being dropped from that course.
