4 Poetry Essay Strategy 1.Dissect the question looking for specifics 2.Annotate the poem itself – starring your key evidence 3.Prewrite a paragraph topic list (2-4 min.) 4.Use literary terms: rhythm, imagery, diction, form, etc. ◦Consider “Device Dumping” 5.Use CSE structure
