4. Study Program - Overview The proposed Study Program will provide participating students with an in depth understanding of New Zealand policy, research and practice associated with school development and teacher education Opportunities will be provided to analyze, discuss and compare the New Zealand context (mainstream, bilingual and immersion settings) with that of the United States – in collaboration with a New Zealand ‘critical friend’ Facilitators of the Study Program will include politicians, policymakers, academics, practitioners and graduate students associated with and working in collaboration with the University of Auckland and Cognition Consulting Limited At the conclusion of the program students will be awarded with a certificate or participation from New Zealand and student reports will be assessed by the participating student University/College.

Study Program - Organization Study Programs will be based on a maximum of 20 students The program will be of 16 days duration Individual student needs and expectations will be accommodated as far as possible in the program content The Study Program will be hosted by the University of Auckland and Cognition Consulting Limited The cost of the Study Program will be up to $3,000 – inclusive of all accommodation, meals, travel, teaching and materials in New Zealand
