Lesson 11- connecting percy’s experience
Your graphic organizer includes the stages of “The Hero’s Journey” which also show up in the passage of The Lightening Thief you read earlier. Review these sections from “The Hero’s Journey” to remind yourself what happens in each of those stages. Think about how the stage of the hero’s journey shows up in the passage of The Lightening Thief. Choose a specific scene from the passage on pp that shows Percy experiencing the three different stages found on the graphic organizer. Go back to “The Hero’s Journey” and choose a quote that clearly connects to Percy’s experience. Complete the graphic organizer using evidence from the two texts.
