Adaptations of the plants in the environment For plants to survive they have adaptations. These adaptations let the plant live in particular places. When the plant has adaptations it makes it hard for it survive in different places. This is why some plants are found in one place and not in the other.

Adaptations in Dry Places Plants can live in pleases where there is hardly any water. Some plant adaptations are made so that the plant can survive in hot, dry places like the desert. Normally the winds have made everything dry of how strong they are. Plants have to go through high temperatures and stand water loss.

Adaptations in Water Underwater leaves and steams are flexible so it is easy to move with the current. In the floating plants chlorophyll is restricted to the upper surface. The upper surface of the plant is waxy to repel water. Some plants make seeds that can float.

Importance of Photosynthesis Plants are living things that need photosynthesis to survive. Photosynthesis is when the energy from the sunlight is combined with chlorophyll to form sugar. Without photosynthesis there would be no use to the energy from the sun. Photosynthesis provides oxygen to breathe in. Without photosynthesis there would be no living things.

Concept of Food Chains & Food Webs Food chains are around how each living thing gets the nutrients it needs. The food chains always start with a plant and end with a animal. Food webs do not have true endings or begging's they just show how the organisms work. Energy flows through an ecosystem in one direction. It is like a pyramid, first it goes producers, then consumers and last decomposers. The energy flows through this which makes an ecosystem.

Photosynthesis, Respirations, Carbon Dioxide & Oxygen Photosynthesis is the process where plants use sunlight, carbon dioxide and water to make food to make oxygen. Respiration is the process where cells use this food to release stored energy from the plant. Without photosynthesis and respiration there would be no carbon dioxide and oxygen. Everything is based on how the photosynthesis works so that the respiration process can work normally.

How matter is cycled in Nature There are different types of matter cycles, like; hydrological cycle, nitrogen cycle, phosphorus cycle etc. The water cycle is responsible for the movement of hydrogen and oxygen. Each of the other elements have other cycles that they are responsible for. The nitrogen cycle and hydrological cycle are the most critical, this is because everything that is needed for limiting factors growth is in these 2 cycles.

How human activities can affect the gases and matters in the environment Human activities are affecting the environment in all sorts of ways, like global warming, pollution, acid rain, food chains and etc. The green houses are affect on global warming. The factories all around the world are making pollution. CO 2 has caused most of the global warming. It has contributed most to the climate then anything else. Human activities affect the gases and matters in the environment in many different ways.
