4 Systems Request

5 Systems Request Overview Tyner-Petrus’ as-is system is paper-based. o The Payroll system currently takes long hours to complete using manual calculations. o The Gun Repairs system currently has no records of repairs done to guns. o The Returns system has no record of the shipment after it leaves the store. They are in need of automated systems in Returns, Payroll, and Gun Repairs system. EpiCore will implement automated systems for each.

Employee database will store employees' records electronically allowing them to clock in and out of a password-protected database. 38 User Interfaces Time Clock Employee will enter their information into time clock to record correct work time. Gun Repairs Database The technician will enter customer and gun information into the database Returns Database Keeps track of customer's returns

39 Security Requirements All the databases must be secure, as they will contain personal information. Employees must keep their own personal information private. Employees must keep customers information private from other customers. The systems must automatically create backup for all information

46 Design Alternative – Recommendation Recommendation: EpiCore recommends Alternative #2 Packaged Software to Tyner Petrus Co. Inc Rationale: EpiCore believes that buying packaged software will benefit Tyner Petrus the most. The Payroll and Gun Repairs Systems serve common business needs and software for them both can be procured easily. Although the Returns System serves a unique business need and would still need to be developed, EpiCore still believes packaged software is the best alternative overall due to tangible benefits and ROI.
