3 On what rivers did Mesopotamia develop? The Tigris and Euphrates Rivers

4 What is the Fertile Crescent? A large arc of Fertile farmland extending from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea.

5 When and how were farming settlements established in Mesopotamia? By 7000BC people were growing crops along the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and had formed small villages there.

6 Ways to help farming … Irrigation- a way of supplying water to an area of land. Silt- a mixture of rich soil and tiny rocks. Canals- human-made waterways
