5. In 4 groups, you will be assigned one pre- Columbian Native American society to research online. You will “interview” an individual from one of these societies to determine the potential of this group to assimilate into the future American societies of the 17 th and 18 th centuries.

7. Students will present findings in a modified Socratic seminar about the particular tribe that they researched.

8. Read the section on the Columbian exchange.
