3 In order to meet more effectively the unique learning needs of every student, GRO helps districts obtain resources, share effective practice, and stay on the cutting edge of educational research. Applying Research to Practice Grant Seeking Assistance Professional Learning Opportunities

4 1) Differentiated Instruction 2) High School Redesign and 3) Evidence Based Education Applying Research to Practice GRO provides resources for applying evidence based research. Examples include:

5 Grant Seeking Assistance GRO provides information and data to member districts for writing proposals. Examples include: Grant sources Tips for writing grants Grant proposal review and feedback prior to submission

6 Professional Learning Opportunities GRO provides professional development related to applying research in practice. Examples include: Math and Science Teacher Center training Middle and High School Success Emporiums Gap Closing Instruction in Literacy Workshop Intensified Algebra Workshop: Interventions grades 6-9 Differentiated Instruction for All Learners (DIAL) online courses Friday Forum Network Series for Gifted Program Coordinators

7 Teaching and Learning Leadership Share Site GRO provides a clearinghouse of resources for educators in leadership positions. The site features both 1)collective work done by participating districts such as surveys of scope and sequence, and 2) individual district contributions
