To enhance the skin’s appearance around the eye, surgery is performed on either the lower or upper eyelid. A person appears tired, older and fatigued if there is accumulation of fat and skin in the area around the eyes. This surgery serves to regain your alert and youthful appearance.

Farella, M.D., FACS Recovery Time After the surgery there can be temporary blurred vision, tightness around the eyes, discomfort, bruising, and swelling (these symptoms vary among individuals). Within the first week, stitches are removed. After two weeks, non- strenuous exercise may be resumed, and you may wear contact lenses if needed. The final result will be apparent by about one year.
