1 Summary Report Project Name: IHE Profiles Brief Project Description: –The Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) is an initiative by healthcare professionals and industry to improve the way computer systems in healthcare share information. IHE promotes the coordinated use of established standards such as DICOM and HL7 to address specific clinical needs in support of optimal patient care. Systems developed in accordance with IHE communicate with one another better, are easier to implement, and enable care providers to use information more effectively. –To lower the barrier to integration and expedite healthcare interoperability, OHT provides client side implementations of several key IHE profiles. These implementations were used successfully by over 35 systems to date at the 2007-2011 Connectathons in North America and Europe. Projected milestones: v2.0 incremental build – October 2011 Major release dates: v1.0.0 – August 2010, v1.1.0 - October 2010, v1.2.0 - August 2011 Contribution date: continual since July 2008

Time/resource permitting: ESVS Support, new profiles such as - Metadata Update and Dynamic Query for Data.
