1 Trafalgar Square Trafalgar Square is a big square with beautiful staircases and fountains. In Trafalgar Square you can find a 50 metre colon with the most well- recognized statue in all of Trafalgar on top of it, the memorial of Horatio Nelson who won a very important battle against Napoleon year 1805.

2 The square is located in the middle of the city and it was put there in The square is surrounded by streets except for the places where you can go upstairs to the north where you can find the National gallery and the beautiful church Martin-in-the-fields. If you look down to the south you can see Big Ben far down the street. To the southwest you can see the big avenue “the Mall”, to the south you can see Whitehall and to the west you will see Canada house. The statue of Nelson is in the middle of the square, at three of the corners of the square there are statues of George IV, sir Henry Havelock and sir Charles James Napier.

3 Before Trafalgar Square was built, there was a hotel at the same location called The Golden Cross Hotel. Back in the 1600s there was a prison at the same spot. There have been a lot of demonstrations that took place in Trafalgar Square. One of the biggest and most recognized ones is the one that started when there were protests against the imprisonment of William O’ Brian. A fun little fact about Trafalgar Square is that it was the first place in all of London that was enlightened with electricity.

4 Madame Tussauds

5 Madame Tussauds is a very big and well known wax cabinet in London that was set up when Marie Tussaud moved to London in 1802, but the cabinet was moved to it’s current location in Madame Tussauds is one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of London. Since the wax cabinet gained such popularity, they decided to build even more wax cabinets under the name of Madame Tussauds all over the world in cities such as Berlin and Washington D.C. It is an honour to be sculptured as a wax doll at Madame Tussauds. At Madame Tussauds there are wax dolls of very famous people that has had a big impact on our history, there are wax dolls of for example actors and great leaders.

6 Speakers Corner Speakers Corner is a place in Hyde Park where everybody can hold a speech, you can talk about what ever you want and share you’re oppinion with other people. But there is one rule and the rule is that you cannot talk about anything that may hurt someone, otherwise you are free to talk about whtaever you like. Speakers Corner is also a big tourist attraction since many people from all over the world that are visiting London come to Speakers Corner to hear some interesting speeches and opinions. There are actually a Speakers Corner in other parks in London and in other places in the world, but the one in Hyde Park is the most well-known one.
