2 Federal/Provincial agreement guided by vision of a “healthy, prosperous, & sustainable Great Lakes Ecosystem” for present & future generations” Signed by 8 Federal Departments, 3 Provincial Ministries Establishes: priorities, goals, & results for enhancement & conservation of Basin Ecosystem management strategies required to achieve these goals roles and responsibilities of each party commitment to report regularly and publicly Key Principals: Free Exchange of Information data will be collected once, closest to the source, in the most efficient manner possible and will be shared Response to COA WHAT IS LAKEVIEWS?

3 Develop an information management system for tracking environmental change & progress Parties will ensure accurate and timely information on environmental progress by achieving: Scientific data & information shared among government, organizations, and basin residents Canada & Ontario will: Develop and maintain information management system framework for COA Provide public access to monitoring information through the internet and published reports Response to COA Annex 4: WHAT IS LAKEVIEWS?
