2 OUR MISSION 1980 union members decided that the main Union’s objectives are to defend the rights, dignity and interests of the employees. 2005 are these still our main objectives.

3 1980 Workers established The Independent and Self-governing Trade Union „Solidarność”

4 13 December 1981 Martial law. NSZZ "Solidarność" is suspended. But the members do not accept it and fight for legalisation.

5 1989 Court in Warsaw re-registers the Independent and Self-governing Trade Union "Solidarność". Poland becomes a democratic country.
