Acute Meningitis & Encephalitis are mostly caused by viruses (95%), bacteria ( 2-5%), Fungi (1-2%).. 4 Common Cause of Acute Bacterial Meningitis Pneumococcal meningitis / S. pneumoniae.. Gram+ve diplococcus.. Alpha-Hemolytic..
