PMIX Message Architecture The entire PMIX message is within the SOAP Envelope – This contains both a Header and Body section – Header contains: Requestor information Routing information Response values/codes required in the response Encryption information for “secure transport” – Body contains: Information to query the PMP (i.e. Patient Information) Query response (controlled substance history “report “– data elements) A number of fields in the PMIX IEPD are not used in the Request/Response transactions
