1 The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Good Parenting Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

2 Proverbs 2:1-5 1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, 3 and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, 5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

3 Psalm 111:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

5 Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is the hatred of evil.

6 Proverbs 16:6 By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one turns away from evil. We need a generation of men who will turn away from evil!!

7 Isaiah 33:5-6 As fathers and husbands, grandparents and guardians, what do we want for our families?

8 Isaiah 33:5-6 (ESV) The Lord is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with justice and righteousness, and he will be the stability of your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is Zion’s treasure.

25 Promises for Those Who Fear the Lord 14. Blessings for the whole family Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord. The Lord bless you from Zion! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life! May you see your children’s children! Peace be upon Israel! Psalm 138

26 Come my children, listen to me, and I will teach you the fear of the Lord. (Psalm 34:11)
