5. March 2008Protocol Draft Changes -06 to -075 Technical Changes 1.IEEE 802.1 VLAN registration protocols (either the older GVRP or newer MVRP) didn’t work. Added Section 4.7 which goes about 75% of the way to making MVRP (Multiple VLAN Registration Protocol, 802.1ak) work so that Rbridges can incrementally replace 802.1Q customer bridges where either the replaced or remaining bridges have ports with dynamically registered VLANs. 2.Options – see next slide.

March 2008Protocol Draft Changes -06 to -076 Options For discussion purposes and to provide some examples –The protocol-07 draft specifies only summary hop-by-hop and ingress-to-egress critical options present bits. –Individual draft -rbridge-options-00 specifies: A fairly complete options syntax and A number of specific options.
