3 Some Stressors Experienced 52% experienced employment discrimination 73% had been hate crime victims due to being trans (20% physically assaulted, 14% sexually assaulted) 80% worry about sexual relationships due to being trans 46% of those transitioning experienced difficulty accessing hormones and surgeries 67% feel they must hide being trans to be accepted (UK Trans Mental Health Study 2012)

5 Access to healthcare in Europe Access to gender reassignment 2003 to 2008 84% refused state-funded hormones 89% refused state-funded surgery 34% refused treatment due to doctor disapproving of gender reassignment (Trans EuroStudy 2008) 19% felt discriminated against by healthcare providers 2011 to 2012 (EU LGBT Survey 2012)
