2 “These Things Ought Not To Be So” James 3:10 Guilty of a Wicked Mouth  This is what our text teaches us. James 3:9-12  We should be careful of the words we speak. James 1:19-20  We are to let our “yes” be “yes” and our “no” be “no.” James 5:12  Our speech will give us away. Matthew 26:73  We are to never use corrupt speech. Ephesians 4:29

3 “These Things Ought Not To Be So” James 3:10 Guilty of Immorality  If we focus on spiritual things, we will put to death evil desires. Colossians 3:1-7

4 Colossians 3:1-7 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. NKJV

And he was a Samaritan. 17 So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed?
