2 To start... Optimising is the process of making your CD run as efficiently as possible by keeping the file size down! Can you name two benefits from this?

3 Reasons If you are creating a web-based presentation, a large file takes longer to download than a small file. An inefficently organised presentation will unnecessarily increase the time it will take users to access our product. Saves space

4 How to Optimise Consider how often we use elements, i.e. a standard Home button rather than a different home button for every page. Making a file size as small as possible. The basically reduced the amount of information

5 Dimensions Ensuring the height and width isn’t unnecessarily large. This will then lower the data required. Provide evidence that you have considered dimensions when creating your elements. Screenshots and supporting descriptions

7 Resolution Provide evidence that you have considered resolution! A screenshot of the resolution of any graphics or video clips with an explanation would be good

8 Frame Rate With some basic flash animations they run at 12 frames per second, so a 5 second clip is 60 frames. Therefore fewer frames = less space

9 File Formats Different formats deal with the data differently..jpgs hold data differently to.bmps

10 Exporting Roughly the same as previous Different video formats handle data differently.mov.avi.mp4

11 Task Review the elements you have created and optimise them. Provide clear and valid reasons why you have optimised each element each way you have
